Colton Wallace

Mr. Colton Wallace, of Forney, passed away peacefully on Sept. 15, 2022, with family at his side. Colton was born to Loye and Jane Tanner Wallace on November 1, 1958, in Dallas, Texas. Colton is preceded in death by his father, Loye Wallace and sister, Melinda Wallace. Colton was known for his many talents and likes in this life and he never seemed to find a boring moment in time, even when going to school for economics and finance. He was an avid fan of his alma mater the UT Longhorns and any sport he may be able to watch of them on TV. He had a great heart for rescuing animals and making them more like family than pets, but never to be mistaken that his dogs were his number one! He loved to farm and ranch and raised horses and cattle. When not overly involved in his finance world, or on the farm, Colton would love to travel with his best friend and wife, Lisa. When retelling the story, Lisa’s eyes would light up when she retold the story of the magical trip they took together to Banff, Canada, where the two were wed; it was not only picturesque but the perfect place to deepen their love for one another. When Colton was back in his home area he would love to take his sailboat out on the water and sail the day away. With tearful eyes, the family has watched Colton sail away to his forever shore with Jesus. Left to cherish Colton’s memories are his loving wife, Lisa Wallace, his mother, Jane Wallace, brother Patrick and wife Christi Wallace, brother-in-law Steve Dozier and wife Janie, and stepson Donovan Payton. Also surviving Colton are his nephews and nieces Joey Petroff and wife Robbi along with children Krissi and Sabrina, Joel Wallace and wife Noelle, Sydney Brandon and husband David, and Jennifer Griffin and husband Marvin. Also left to cherish his memories are his great-nephews and -nieces Chase Griffith, Cord Guinn and wife Jenna, Jenna Morris, Stephanie Justice, Mandy Almeida, and Phoebe Sunshine Wright. Other beloved survivors are his special friends Paisley Thompson, Tim Barnes, Clayton Smith, Doug Miller, Mark Lund, Doug Barton, and Dale Greer, along with numerous family and friends, all of whom will miss Colton very much. Funeral service will be at 10:30am, Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2022 at First United Methodist Church in Forney with interment to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. His family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 am to service time.
