Kira LeFlore

On Jan. 16, 2024, Kiralynn Isabelle LeFlore, passed on to be an ever-present Guardian Angel for her family and her friends for the rest of their lives. Kira was born Dec. 11, 2001 to Bobie LeFlore and Morales Nix, and her life was a daily blessing to not only her parents but to every person she met. Growing up, it was very evident that Kira would have her own unique road to travel and her ability to help others see the many sides of any situation in a calm, loving and compassionate manner was to become the hallmark of her personality. Kira had a true talent for getting to know others and their stories which fascinated her while, at the same time, forming instant connections that turned into treasured friendships. The only characteristic of Kira that was bigger than her heart was her incredible artistic talent. She loved music (every genre) and anime and she was a current student in North Dallas learning the many facets of musical composition where she was perfecting her skills at creating. Along with music and drawing, Kira was gifted with words and communication and during high school, she won many awards and recognitions for her debating and public speaking abilities. Her gift of communication also extended to writing and she was currently working on a novel of her life and how her many triumphs could encourage others as they walked on paths that, while not well traveled, were needed to be to be charted so that destinations could be made clear for others. Kira’s whole life was spent making sure that everyone she met felt like they mattered and were included. It led her to a wonderful job with event planning at the Kay Bailey-Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas where her ability to see events with an “artist’s eye” coming from her vibrant imagination along with her heart for inclusion ensured her a reputation as a sought after project organizer. Many friendships were made through her work at the Convention Center as Kira repeatedly demonstrated her attention to detail which always helped make a memorable experience for all involved whether they were vendors, attendees or colleagues. Kira had a wonderful sense of humor and her wit was always spot on even if she wasn’t trying to be funny and her honesty and love for others was always seen in her words and actions. Her smile was the first thing everyone noticed because it could be as bright as the sun and illuminated every room she walked into. Kira could also be a study in contrast because as sweet as she was, she LOVED sour skittles! And while her artistic abilities would astound everyone with their uniqueness and individuality, Kira would absolutely only eat the same three things: steak, ribs or chicken tenders with the ONLY sides being mac n cheese or fries! While she would enjoy nature and the outdoors, she truly loved being in any big city where she could walk the streets and meet people to hear their stories. Her intelligence was profound and very often, easy connections would be made with strangers (and strengthened with friends) when she would bring up facts that enhance conversations-facts that Kira retained so easily as her innately caring personality put others at ease. She had a dream of visiting Japan with its culture and its anime along with the bustling towns filled with people, each of whom, Kira knew, would have a story to share. A beautiful and vibrant person, Kira will be greatly missed by everyone she knew and her legacy of helping others to always keep an open mind will be forever carried on by those who loved her. Those left to carry on that legacy are her mother, Bobie LeFlore; father, Morales Nix; sister, Lainie LeFlore; brother, Kain LeFlore; nephews, Chevy and Levi; cousins: Valarie, Victoria, Parker, Noah; aunt, Jojo and many other extended family members and a host of friends. A celebration of her life will be at 6:00pm, Saturday, Jan. 27, 2024 at Max Slayton Funeral Chapel where all are welcome to share the many stories of Kira.
