Margarito Soto

Margarito Soto Sanchez, of Terrell, passed away November 22, 2018 with family by his side. Margarito was born October 17, 1953 in Durango, Mexico to Toribio Soto and Bernardina Sanchez. He was preceded in death by his father and two brothers, Armando and Miguel Soto Sanchez. After Margarito moved to Terrell , he worked for, and retired from, Titus Manufacturing. He loved nature and had a green thumb. He provided the ingredients to many delicious meals from his own garden. He loved to cook and Margarito’s salsa was famous among those who knew him. He also loved to spend time outdoors with get togethers with family and friends making priceless memories for each of them to treasure. Margarito had an incredible talent for learning and playing songs on different instruments, a talent made even more remarkable in that Margarito was self-taught. His ability to listen to a song and then play it by ear never ceased to amaze others. He was an active member of St. John the Apostle Catholic Church and loved the Lord with all his heart. A quiet man with a solid reputation for love and loyalty with a strong spirit and genuine smile. Margarito will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. Margarito is survived by his beloved wife, Irma Soto, whom he married on September 26, 1974; his children: Elizabeth “Lisa” Garcia and husband, Miguel, of Terrell, Margarito Soto, Jr., of Terrell, Nancy Lorena Soto of Forney, Angelica “Angie” Soto of Terrell; grandchildren: Meadow Soto, Michelle Garcia, and Jayden Soto; mother, Bernardina Sanchez of Durango, Mexico; sisters: Julia Soto, Angelina Soto, Benigna Sanchez, Teresa Sanchez; brothers: Baltazar Soto and Manuel Soto as well as many other nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00am, Friday, Nov. 30, 2018 at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church with Rev. James P. Orosco as celebrant with interment to follow at Oakland Memorial Park. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be at 7:00pm, Thursday, Nov. 29, at Max Slayton Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be 2:00pm to 7:00pm on Thursday, Nov. 29, 2018. Margarito Soto Sánchez, de Terrell, falleció el 22 de noviembre de 2018 con la familia a su lado. Margarito nació el 17 de octubre de 1953 en Durango, México a Toribio Soto y Bernardina Sanchez. Fue precedido en la muerte por su padre y dos hermanos, Armando y Miguel Soto Sánchez. Después de que Margarito se mudó a Terrell, trabajó para, y se retiró de la fabricación de Titus. Amaba la naturaleza y tenía un pulgar verde. Margarito será recordado con mucho amor por su familia y con un gran cariño por muchas amistades. Margarito es sobrevivido por su amada esposa, Irma Soto, con quien se casó el 26 de septiembre de 1974; sus hijos: Elizabeth "Lisa" García y su marido, Miguel, de Terrell, Margarito Soto, Jr., de Terrell, Nancy Lorena Soto de Forney, Angélica "Angie" Soto de Terrell; nietos: Meadow Soto, Michelle Garcia, y Jayden Soto; madre, Bernardina Sanchez de Durango, México; hermanas: Julia Soto, Angelina Soto, Benigna Sanchez, Teresa Sanchez; hermanos: Baltazar Soto y Manuel Soto así como muchas otras sobrinas, sobrinos, familia extendida y amigos. La Misa de entierro cristiano se llevará a cabo a las 10:00AM, viernes, 30 de noviembre de 2018 en la Iglesia Católica San Juan Apóstol con el padre James P. Orosco como celebrante. Se procederá el sepelio en el cementerio Oakland Memorial Park en Terrell. La recitación del Santo Rosario será a las 7:00PM, jueves, 29 de noviembre, en la capilla funeraria Max Slayton. El velorio será de 2:00PM a 7:00PM el jueves, 29 de noviembre, 2018.
