Michael Shaddox

Michael Ray Shaddox, beloved husband, devoted father and grandfather, treasured brother and wonderful friend, passed away peacefully at home with his family at his side on March 22, 2017. Mike was born Oct. 9, 1952 in Dallas to Claude and Mildred (Dennis) Shaddox and they both welcomed him into Heaven alongside his infant sister, his grandmother, Mary Lee Farmer and his brother, Todd Shaddox. Mike was a man who valued his family and the time he spent with them was time he always held dear. He had a talent for being able to fix anything and his ability to repair, and most of the time, improve any gadget was well recognized by all who knew him. His true reputation, however, was based on his talent at being a spectacular bowler. Mike’s expertise with a bowling ball had a way of testing known laws of physics during his games and his skill of being exceptional at bowling earned him the title of “The Legend”. He was the biggest supporter to his children and his grandchildren and they all knew it because he shared his love with both his words and his actions. Any and all cards, notes, crafts, gifts and knick-knacks given to him by his kids and grandkids were carefully put away by Mike to be stored as treasures more precious than gold. His easy smile gave a glimpse into his unique sense of humor that was both funny and spontaneous. His personality was filled with insightful wit and straight-shooting observations which made each conversation with him filled with humor and wisdom. Michael leaves to carry on his legacy his wife, Barbara Shaddox of Quinlan; children: Debbie Renae Lenamond, Jimmy Shaddox and wife, Laura, Eric Shaddox and wife, Loretta, Joshua Shaddox and wife, Sasha, Crystal Murrillo and husband, Damien, Catherine Shaddox; 10 grandchildren and one great grandchild; brothers: Gary Shaddox and wife, Terri, Rodney Shaddox and wife Mary and David Shaddox and wife, Ginger; sisters: Nancy Tatum and Linda Andrews and husband, Billy as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, church family and a host of friends who will miss him greatly. A Celebration of Michael’s life will be held 10:00am, Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Life Pointe Church, 1600 Griffith Ave, Terrell, 75160. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that Michael’s love for serving the Lord be remembered with a contribution to the Life Pointe Building Fund, PO Box 387, Terrell, TX, 75160.
