Becky Lamb

Becky “ Meme” Lamb passed away October 21, 2025 in Royse City surrounded by her loving family. She was born October 22, 1943 in Ft. Worth to the late Paul John and Ruby Irene Jones. Preceding her in death are her parents, her husband Mike Lamb, brothers Johnny Fredrick and James Paul Jones and her sister Faith Ann Hookings. Becky graduated from W.W. Samuel High School in Dallas and soon after married the love of her life Mike Lamb on October 12, 1962. She and Mike would have almost six decades of love as they raised their family until his passing in 2021. Becky worked for, and retired from, JC Penney after over 30 years of faithful dedicated service. She had a wonderful heart for others, and her constant smile and sweet personality made every workday better. Being a great wife and mother was Becky's greatest accomplishment, until her wonderful grandchildren were born and she became Meme! She was the biggest supporter for each of her grands, and later great grands, with her love for each of them being boundless and infinite. Spoiling them became the absolute highlight of her day and Becky would gladly spend hours with each of them, listening to their stories, playing games and making wonderful memories. She never said no to a shopping trip, drinking a sweet tea or Dr. Pepper and many family gatherings included listening to her beloved Elvis singing while dancing around the house. The love that began between her and Mike echoed through the generations of the family they were blessed to create. Becky's love for each of them truly embodied the phrase "all because two people fell in love" and her family takes great comfort knowing that she and Mike are reunited again, catching up and dancing in Heaven. While her sweet spirit and laughter will be greatly missed, her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren will be sure to carry Becky legacy of love on into their own growing families. She is survived by her beloved children: son, Steve Lamb and his wife, Kim, of Royse City; daughter, Kelly Helbert and husband, Jay, of Royse City; the precious grandchildren that first made her MeMe: Steven Lamb fiancée, Amber, Michael Lamb and fiancée, Allison, Robby Lamb and fiancée Alexa, Micah Lamb and Erika, Kristen Helbert, Katie Robles and Tyler and Jace Helbert; cherished great grandchildren: Gage, Lexi, Mila, Kayla, Ezra, Kora and Dylan, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends, each of whom will forever remember Becky. Graveside service will be at 1:00pm, Monday, Nov. 3, 2025 at Lake View Cemetery in Lavon, Texas. Her family will receive friends 7:00pm to 9:00pm, Saturday, Nov. 1, 2025 at Max Slayton Funeral Chapel.
