Bradley Stayton

Bradley Louis Stayton, 68, went to be with the lord during the afternoon of Wednesday, May 7th, 2025. Bradley was born January 27, 1957, to Charles Lewis Stayton and Bertha Louise Souman in Champagne, Illinois. Bradley was welcomed into heaven by his son, Brandon Stayton, his grandparents Clifford “Pawco” Ray Stayton and Wilma Cornelia Stayton, and his close friends Carey Beck, Todd Barutha and Greg Dulaney. A free-spirited, kind-hearted, and humble man, Bradley lived by his favorite saying: “Kill 'em with kindness.” He cherished his family deeply, always placing his children as his top priority. After completing his education at Henderson High School, Bradley worked as a professional house painter alongside his close friend, Carey Beck, for many years. Bradley was also a man of music, often seen with a guitar in hand and his voice catching the attention of everybody when he was on stage! Bradley sang and played guitar in a rock band called Straddlegrass, through this band he was able to spread his passion for music and enjoy his love for performing. Bradley loved nature and spent his whole year planning for the first Saturday in October, bow hunting season! He loved to hunt alongside his sons and close family spending quality time with them. Bradley had a big heart and his endless love of life of music will be treasured by all that knew him. Bradley lived his life to the fullest and left this earth peacefully, surrounded by his family. Left to carry on Bradley’s love and legacy are his parents, Charles Lewis Stayton and Bert Louise Grantham; his stepfather, Bruce Grantham; his son, Blakely Ray Stayton, and wife, Tamra; daughter, Brittany Stayton; grandchildren: Serenity Stayton, Parker Stayton, Isaac Stayton, Annaly Stayton, Calyna Hernandez, Brianna Hernandez, Andre Smith, Arianna Smith, and Grayson Smith; his sister, Julie Luna; nieces and nephews: Amber, Phillip, Sam, and Jeremey; and his close friends of many years: Scott, Sherie, Rick, Stan, Laron, and Jimmy, as well as several extended family members and friends, all of whom will cherish the memories of Bradley dearly. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 16, 2025 at The Max Slayton Funeral Chapel where all are invited to share the incredible impact Bradley had on so many lives.
