Frank Rasor

Frank Rasor, a devoted husband, loving father, and loyal friend, passed away on November 15, 2025, in Terrell, Texas. Born on August 12, 1934, in Canadian, Texas, Frank was the son of Harold and Regina (Johnson) Rasor and is preceded in death by his parents. Frank spent most of his childhood in Borger, Texas, where he attended grade school and graduated from Borger High School. He continued his education at Texas Tech University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Geology. There at Texas Tech, he met the beautiful Barbara Liston, whom he knew at that moment, they were meant to be. They were married on December 30, 1957 and together raised two wonderful children. Throughout his life, Frank excelled in many areas. He ran track for Borger High School and was an accomplished bowler—once coming within a single frame of bowling a perfect game. His career flourished as a Civil Engineer, focusing on designing water and wastewater systems for communities, and he was also a Registered Professional Land Surveyor. Frank’s interests were as diverse as they were passionate. He enjoyed the thrill of playing Blackjack at casinos, took home awards for his BBQ ribs and chili, and was an avid deer hunter. He expressed his creativity as a talented artist and woodworker, always crafting something beautiful. Frank found joy in watching westerns on TV and was an enthusiastic Kansas City Chiefs fan. Among the most treasured memories are the times spent with Frank during holidays, birthdays, travels, and special family occasions. He taught all his children how to play tennis—a skill that blossomed into a lifelong love and even a career for Dan and Dessie. Frank will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by everyone whose life he touched. He is survived by wife, Barbara Rasor; children: Dan Rasor and Becca Rasor; grandchildren: Drew Rasor and Miranda Rasor; niece, Dessie Samuels; nephew, Bill Samuels as well as other relatives, a host of friends and College Mound family.
