Herford Jackson

Herford Lee Jackson, of Royse City, passed into the arms of his Heavenly Father on September 16, 2025 in Richardson, Tx. He was born January 19, 1942 to Jessie James and Clara Mae Jackson. Both of whom gladly welcomed Herford into Heaven where he was also reunited with his son, Danny Wayne Jackson, brothers: Lofton and Clifford Jackson and sisters: Jessie Bobbie Gilmore, Geneva Edwards and Elester Jackson. Herford married the love of his life. Annice, on July 27,1963 in Rockwall. After 39 years of faithful and dedicated service, he retired from the City of Rockwall enabling him to spend more time with his precious family. He received Christ at a young age under the ministry of Rev. Dale Watson and for the rest of his life, Herford would love serving the Lord and others. He was the Senior Pastor of Antioch Church of God in Caddo Mills and Pastor Jackson never passed up a chance to share his faith with those he worked with or met on the street. He had a natural ability to help people see the unconditional love of Jesus while making sure each person felt special. Herford’s innate wisdom given to others in advice and counsel was a hallmark of his personality. He often gave all the glory to God for being able to witness effectively as well as be compassionate to those the Lord placed in Hereford’s path. Herford was an embodiment of Proverbs 3:13-18 in that the wisdom he was so richly blessed with from God allowed him countless blessings. A kind man whose generosity was exceeded only by his devotion his Lord and his family, Herford will be greatly missed as his legacy of unselfish love will be proudly carried on into future generations. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Annice Buckingham Jackson; sons: Herford Earl Jackson and Joe Jackson; daughters: Becky Pickron and husband, Keith, and Dorothy Curry; grandchildren: Chastity Curry, Dustin Jackson, Krystal Pickron, Dakota Jackson, Brandon Jackson and Stephanie Jackson; great grandchildren: Liam Collins, Lorenzo Jackson, Malia Jackson, Leilonie Jackson, Zander Jackson, Rose Jackson and Carson Jackson; brother, Calvin Jackson and wife Betty, numerous nieces, nephews, other extended relatives, his church family and a host of friends. Funeral service will be at 11:00am, Friday, Sept. 26, 2025 at Faith of Deliverance Christian Center, 16150 SH 205, Terrell, 75160 with interment to follow at New Oakwood Cemetery in Terrell.
