Johnny Archer

Johnny Dewayne Archer, of Forney, went home to be with the Lord on Feb. 21, 2021 in Sunnyvale TX. He was born Feb. 19, 1958 in Waco, TX to Elland and Virginia (Kearney) Archer, both of whom preceded him in death along with his father-in-law, Alton Folger Paris. Johnny was a well-known and well-respected business owner of Premier Legacy Real Estate with locations in Forney, Mesquite and Longview where he was an accomplished realtor and broker and known as ‘the Singing Realtor’. He had over 40 years of comprehensive knowledge and experience in the real estate industry. His dedication to helping others find the perfect property was well known among his clients and colleagues. In addition to serving his client base, Johnny also was committed to enriching others’ lives and the team of associates that he assembled at Premier Legacy helped him set the bar high for customer service excellence. Johnny was a devoted husband to his wife, Tricia Paris Archer, whom he married on July 26th, 1987 in Westlake Park in Mesquite. Together, they made a loving home for their daughters, Melissa and Amanda, filled with treasured memories. Johnny was also a member of Sunnyvale First Baptist Church for over 15 years where he was an active and vibrant part in the congregation as he faithfully served the Lord. Johnny’s generosity and love for life and people will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his beloved wife of 33 years, Tricia Archer of Forney; daughters: Melissa Jean Archer of Plano, Amanda Archer Winters and husband, Clay Alan Winters of Oklahoma City, OK; mother-in-law, Lucille Paris of Mesquite; siblings: Sidney Archer of Beaumont, Sandy Archer Dixon and husband Matthew of Plano, Bruce Archer and wife, Christi, of Mesquite, and Sherry Archer of Mesquite; uncles: Don Archer of Terrell and AC Archer of Paradise; aunt, Inez Doss of Quinlan as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and a host of friends. Funeral service will be at 11:00am, Saturday, Feb. 27, 2021 at Sunnyvale First Baptist Church with interment to follow at New Hope Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00am to service time. For those who would like to make a charitable contribution in lieu of flowers, may make it to the Mission Fund at Sunnyvale FBC.
