Linnea Templin

Linnea Louise Templin passed away peacefully with loved ones by her side on May 24, 2023 at the age of 78. Linnea was born in Fort Worth, Texas to J.W. and Stella LaCour. She is preceded in death by her father, J.W. LaCour; brother, Justin LaCour; and son, Cody Gunter. Linnea worked several years for Lone Star Gas and then R & R Design, Inc. before finding her passion for antiques which she turned into a career as an antique dealer. She spent many years dealing antiques at her booth at The Porch in the Canton First Monday Trade Days. She thoroughly enjoyed visiting with the other vendors and her customers and made many friends along the way. She was known to “tell you like it is” but she did so with a heart full of love and caring nature. Linnea enjoyed her time spent living at the lake and doing all the lake things such as fishing, teaching others how to water ski and swim and generally enjoying the beauty of the lake. Linnea had a natural green thumb and enjoyed her plants and flowers and would spend much of her time caring for them. She loved watching her hummingbirds and was diligent about putting her feeders out and letting others know that it was time to put theirs out or put them up for winter. Linnea loved music and had a natural talent for playing most musical instruments including the piano, organ, accordion and guitar. Linnea also held a special place in her heart for her pug – Abby who was her loyal companion for many years. Above all, Linnea loved her family deeply and they will continue to carry on her legacy and keep her memory alive. She will be greatly missed and always treasured in her loved one’s hearts. Linnea is survived by her daughter, Stephanie and husband Robert Rabal of Terrell; son, Mark Bryant of Wills Point; sisters, Helma Rabal of Wills Point and Betsy Petty of Carrollton; mother, Stella LaCour of Terrell; grandsons, Brandon Dry and wife Jennifer, Logan Gunter and wife Brianna and Justin Rabal and wife Jodi; granddaughters Ravenn Gunter Castro and husband Jesse; Kayla Bryant, Kendall Bryant, Angie McLeod and husband Meredith; great-grandchildren, Cade Rabal, Carlee Rabal, Weston McLeod, Hayden McLeod, Addison Dry, Palmer Dry, Micah Castro, Ellowyn Gunter, Emerson Gunter; nephew Seth Rabal along with numerous extended family members and friends.
