Luster Tramel

Luster Tramel passed away peacefully at his home on May 17, 2026, surrounded by his loving and devoted family. He was born on December 28, 1943 to Truett and Sally (Holleman) Tramel in Corsicana, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents; beloved wife, Glenda Jo Tramel; son, Jimmy Truett Tramel and brothers: Tommy Jo Tramel and Danny Tramel. Always a hard worker, Luster dedicated his time and poured himself into his small business, Kaleidoscope Plumbing, where for many years, he took great pride in the work he did and the people he served. In his free time, he enjoyed golfing and fishing, especially when it meant spending time with family and friends. Luster loved the Lord and was a devoted member of Faith Baptist Church in Kaufman, Texas for many years. He also had a deep appreciation for Bluegrass and Gospel music and had a knack for playing practically any instrument with ease. He was a devoted father and friend who spent his life providing for his family and helping others in times of need. A caring man, Luster touched many hearts by his kindness, generosity, and willingness to lend a hand and will be missed immensely by all of those who meant the world to him. Luster is survived by his daughters: Debbie Vaughan and husband, Jody, Cindy Davis and husband, David, and Samantha Kratz and husband, Barry; grandchildren: Brandi, Susan, Justin, Ashley, Westley, Stacey, Matthew, Jac, Tabitha, Cody, Clinton, Cheyenne, Jody II; 28 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; sisters: Billie Ann, Linda, and Jessie; brother, Gerald as well as numerous nieces and nephews, extended family, and a host of friends, all of whom will miss him dearly. Funeral service will be at 12:00pm, Saturday, May 23, at Max Slayton Funeral Chapel with his family receiving friends beginning at 11:00am to service time. Luster will be laid to rest next to his beloved wife, Glenda, after the funeral service at Prairie Point Cemetery in Kerens, Texas.
