Patricia Carter

Patricia "Pat" Carter of Terrell, Texas passed away at the age of 86 on February 1, 2026, with family at her side. She was born October 27, 1939 in Oblong, Illinois to Howard and Veda (Stanley) Pasley. Pat was preceded in death by her Husband of 33 years, Howard Carter of Bible Grove, Illinois; sons: Bobby Carter of Bible Grove, Illinois & Gerald Carter of Effingham, Illinois; parents, Howard & Veda Pasley of Valparaiso, Indiana; son in-law, Tim Turner of Ingraham, Illinois; son in-law, Travis Williams of Flint, Texas, and brother in-law, Fred Briggs of Boone Grove, Indiana. Pat grew up in Oblong, Illinois with her parents and sister, Mary. She attended school in Oblong and Lawrenceville, Illinois. After retiring from Norge - Fedders Corporation, Pat went on to work in office and retail jobs after moving to Texas in the early 90"s to be with her family. She loved to crochet, quilt, read, and take motorcycle trips with her late husband and friends, but most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her 4 grandkids, 11 great grandkids and other family and friends. Pat was a faithful member of Ingraham Christian Church for many years. Before moving to Texas, Pat would travel from Illinois to Texas to spend time with family and take each grandkid out for a weekend adventure; whether is was staying in hotels, shopping, movies and anything else they desired, making fond memories each grandkid would remember of their grandmother. A few years after Pat moved to Texas, she moved back to Valparaiso,Indiana to help take care of her Mother Veda for several years. They both were then persuaded to move to Texas for warmer weather and family to help take care of them both. A caregiver, and devoted woman, Pat will be missed by all who knew her. Pat is survived by her daughters: Debbie (Turner) Williams of Terrell, Texas and Kathy Snyder and Son-In Law Mike, of Terrell, Texas; grandson, Andrew Turner and his wife Heather of Rockwall, Texas, along with their four children: Everly, Emelia, Daphne and Sadie; granddaughter, Ashley Kaleimamahu and her husband Norman of Forney, Texas, along with their two children: Kayson and Alivia; Eric Snyder and his wife Katie of Terrell, Texas along with their three children: Blake, Luke and Charlie; granddaughter, Candice Lott and her husband Mike of Plano, Texas, along with their two children: McKenzie and Emma Powell; sister, Mrs. Mary Briggs of Hiram, Georgia along with numerous nieces, nephews, friends and family who loved her dearly. A Celebration of Pat's life will be held at 1:00p.m., Saturday, February 14, 2026 at Round Pen Cowboy Church, 5620 Michael Talty Ave, Terrell, TX 75160. Justin Barham will be officiating.
