    Annette Lovell

    March 12, 1930 - March 5, 2020

Mrs. Lovell went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on March 5, 2020. Helen Annette Young was born March 12, 1930 in Rockwall, TX. She graduated from Rockwall High School in 1947. At the age of 17, she married the love of her life, James M. Lovell, Jr. once he returned from serving in the United States Navy during World War II. The Lord blessed Jim and Annette with 71 wonderful years together. The couple had three daughters: Margaret, Sherrie, and Paula. Annette spent the majority of her life taking care of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She loved watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren participate in various sports competitions and games as well as other activities. She could often be found working in the yard, fishing, and she was also an avid sports fan. Her favorite teams were the Texas Rangers, Dallas Cowboys, Dallas Mavericks and Chicago Bulls where she especially enjoyed watching Dirk Nowitski and Michael Jordan. Her style, devotion to her husband and family, smile, and love will be greatly missed. Annette’s faith in Jesus Christ will continue for all of us to model. Mrs. Lovell was preceded in death by her husband, James M. Lovell, Jr.; daughter, Paula Lovell; parents, Marvin and Annette Young; brothers, Johnny Young and Leon Young and sister, Dorothy Smith. Family includes children: Margaret & Joe Matura, Sherrie & Mike McBurney; grandchildren: Amanda & Michael Beckerich, Katie & Jeff Sullivan, Matt & Laura Matura, Rhonda Talbert, Zachary & Autumn Wiley, and Casey & Meredith Wiley; great grandchildren: Cameron Beckerich, Ariana Sullivan, Jarek Sullivan, Reese Wiley, Reagan Wiley, Joe & Taylor Wheeler, Alexandria Wiley, Caden Wiley, Tracy Talbert, Andy Matura, Tryce Talbert, Easton Wheeler, Beckham Wheeler; and Steve Lara; brother, Cary Young as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. Pallbearers will be Michael Beckerich, Jeff Sullivan, Matt Matura, Zachary Wiley, Caden Wiley, and Casey Wiley. Honorary Pallbearer will be Gary Harris. Funeral service for Annette will be 4:00 pm, Saturday, March 7, 2020, at Chisholm Cemetery Chapel with interment in Chisholm Cemetery. Family will receive friends 5 to 7 pm Friday, March 6, at Max Slayton Funerals and Cremations. The family, asks in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Chisholm Cemetery Foundation, 353 League Rd., Rockwall, Tx 75032
