    Edward "Eddie" Jack Banister

    March 7, 1964 - April 12, 2021

Edward “Eddie” Banister passed away at his home on April 12, 2021. He was born March 7, 1964 in Dallas, Texas and was preceded in death by his loving father, Jack Banister. Eddie graduated high school in 1982 from H. Grady Spruce in Dallas. He married his high school sweetheart and they had a wonderful baby girl together, Nicole, and she was the apple of Eddie’s eye. In Eddie's younger years, he loved to rodeo, especially bull riding, and he truly enjoyed being in the arena any chance he could. He also enjoyed time spent with family and friends going fishing and water skiing at local lakes and parks. He drove for Coca Cola company for a few years after which he found his niche at Calloway's Nursery. Eddie appreciated flowers and gardening so the position at Calloway’s enabled him to be able to learn even more about the how-tos of landscaping and the unique beauty of growing beautiful flowering gardens. Eddie also loved animals and had many wonderful dogs over the years. A generous heart for all he knew, Eddie will be greatly missed by everyone that loved him. Eddie is survived by his daughter, Nicole Harrison and husband, Dave; mother, Reta Banister; biological father, Milton Heine and wife, Dorothy; sister, Tonjah Stewart and Bo Barham; brother, Bryan Banister and wife, Delisa, as well as other nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Funeral service will be at 1:00pm, Monday, April 19, 2021 at Max Slayton Funeral Chapel with interment to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Forney. His family will receive friends beginning at 12:00pm to service time at the funeral home.
