    Ellen "Tina" Pool

    March 15, 1955 - November 23, 2018

Ellen Antonine Pool (Tina) passed away peacefully on November 23, 2018. Tina was born on March 15, 1955 in Oklahoma City, OK to Joseph and Betty Rose Vrana, both of whom preceded her in death along with her step-mother, Opal Ruth Vrana. While attending high school, she was the president of DECA which enabled her to hone her skills in business for marketing, finance and management-skills that she continued to develop throughout her life and career. She was also an avid swimmer and she loved being a lifeguard. When you met Tina, you instantly saw her outer beauty and when you were able to get to know her, the inner beauty shined even brighter. She was a ballerina as well as a model and she enjoyed riding horses and was an accomplished equestrian. Tina worked in the oil and gas industry as an analyst with Exxon/Mobil for 35 years in Dallas where her attention to detail garnered her a well-earned professional reputation among her colleagues. On September 2, 2015 she married her husband Kenneth Freeman Holt and together, they made their home in Forney. Tina was a member of St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church in Talty. She loved her church and church family and her service to the Lord brought her joy. A wonderful mother, wife, Mimi, and friend, Tina will be missed by all who knew her. Those left to cherish her legacy of unconditional love are her husband, Kenneth Holt; her sons: Adam Pool and Jonathan Pool; her sister, Melissa ‘Missy’ Rider; precious grandsons: Prestin and Eric Pool, who made her a ‘Mimi’ as well as other extended family and a host of friends. A Celebration of Life for Ellen will be at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at Max Slayton Funerals and Cremations.
