    Freddie David

    December 24, 1941 - May 25, 2022

Freddie Eugene David, of Forney, passed away on May 25, 2022 where he was met by his Savior and those who have gone before him. Freddie was born December 24, 1941 in Dallas, Texas, to C.J. and Ruby (Frank) David, both of whom preceded him in death along with his sister, Doris Dye and brother, CJ David. Freddie worked in Dallas at Asbestos Local 21 as an insulator where he worked on many commercial projects for 17 years. He then owned and operated Forney Insulation for over 27 years until his retirement. His work ethic was a hallmark of his success and he passed this dedication on to his family and his business colleagues. He married the love of his life, Linda. on April 15, 1960 in Dallas and together they raised a beautiful family in a home filled with love and faith. He was a mason of over 50 years with membership in the Brooklyn Lodge where he served as Past Worshipful Master. Freddie was also a longtime and active member of First Baptist Church in Forney where he especially enjoyed his Sunday School the Enoch class. He was a man strong in his faith and he loved to study the Word with his class and his family. Over the years of his dedication to his career, the Lodge and his church, Freddie made countless friends. He truly loved his family and getting the chance to see his children with their children and (later) more children made Freddie incredibly happy and content. He enjoyed fishing and loved taking chances at many games including dominos and bowling along with other games of chance! A man with a dedicated work ethic and strong family devotion, Freddie will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Freddie leaves his cherished memories to his wife of over 62 years, Linda Faye David; daughters: Drucilla David of Quinlan, Theresa Dennehy and husband, Pat, Kimberly Schlebach and husband, Anthony, Doris Sparks and husband, David and Natalie Stephens and husband, Mike, all of Forney, grandchildren: Matthew Dennehy, Wesley Dennehy, Chasity Minshew, Chase Schlebach, David Sparks, Jr., Austin Sparks, Candace Welch and Brent Stephens; great grandchildren: Madisyn, Emersyn, Easton, Ellie, Callie, Olivia, Reece, and Harlee; brothers: Gene David of Waxahachie, Marvin David of Mesquite, and Don Monk of Ovilla; sister, Pat Martin of Mesquite as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and a host of friends. Funeral service will be at 2:00pm, Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at The Forum at First Baptist Church in Forney with interment to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00pm to service time. For those wishing, memorials may be made to FBC Building Fund, Higher Ground 2.0, at www.fbcforney.org/donate.
