    Steve Harwell

    September 5, 1965 - May 3, 2022

    Gary Stephen “Steve” Harwell Jr. passed away peacefully on May 3, 2022 in Tyler, Texas. Steve was born in Terrell, Texas to Gary Sr. and Linda Harwell on September 5, 1965. He is preceded in death by his father, Gary Harwell Sr., his infant daughter, Catherine Dianne Harwell, his loving grandparents: Marvin and Ola Feagin, Jim William and Lola Bessie Harwell and parents-in-law, Maddie and Birdine La Cour. Steve was well known and beloved by all who knew him. With his many adventures in life, his greatest accomplishment was his family whom he loved and cared for deeply. Steve was a 1984 graduate of Forney High School. Steve’s latest job was as a dedicated bus driver for Lindale ISD where his friendly smile made every day better for both students and faculty. Steve is survived by his loving wife, Florence Harwell, of Lindale, TX; his three daughters: Tiffany Lynn Harwell of Wills Point, Anita Kay Harwell of Lindale and Olivia Lynn Harwell of Lindale. He is also survived by his grandson Jayce Lee Parker, mother, Linda Harwell; brother, Jason Harwell and wife, Misti, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family, all of whom will miss Steve very much. Visitation will be at Holy Family Catholic Church, 16314 FM 849, Lindale, TX 75771 beginning at 5:00pm to 7:00pm with Rosary at 7:00pm.on Sunday, May 8, 2022. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00am, Monday, at Holy Family Catholic Church. Interment will be at Weaver Cemetery in Terrell, TX at 2:00pm on Monday. If you wish to give a memorial in honor of Steve, you may do so by giving to Holy Family Building Fund at 16314 FM 849, Lindale, Texas 75771 or to the Weaver Cemetery Preservation Fund at P.O. box 1082, Terrell, Texas 75160.
