January 29, 1938 - May 6, 2020
Hazel Frans, of Terrell, passed away into the presence of her Savior on May 6, 2020 with her family surrounding her. She was born January 29, 1938 in Davin, W. Virginia to James and Sara Adkins, both of whom preceded her in death along with her beloved daughter, Glenda Hibler, daughter-in-law, Angela Frans, and son-in-law, Robert Hibler. Hazel moved to Texas in 1980 living in Irving and in 1983, she made Terrell her home. She was grounded in her faith and she had a strong desire to tell of the love and grace of Jesus to everyone she met. She was a longtime and active member of Terrell First Assembly of God where she embodied the love of Christ to all she met. Her study of the Bible helped her live a life filled with grace and her knowledge of the Gospel would rival even the many preachers she watched and listened to daily. Hazel’s caring heart and kindness allowed her to care for many children in the Terrell area where her smile gentle hugs could soothe a fussy baby or a crying toddler. Many Christmases would find Hazel sponsoring the children on Angel Trees and making sure each child had gifts to open on Christmas Day. Another hallmark of Hazel's compassionate personality was that she was a faithful prayer warrior. She prayed unceasingly for other's needs, whatever they may be, and she would spend time laying those requests, both spoken and unspoken, of blessings and healing at the Lord's feet. Hazel knew the power of prayer was great and she counted it an honor and privilege to be able to pray for those she knew. A lady of faith and grace, Hazel will be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her sons: Wayne Frans and wife, Susan, Billy Frans and wife, Mittye; grandchildren: Jarrod, Joe, Jerry, Nancy, Angie, Holly, Pacer, Talon and Cable; 34 great grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren as well as many other extended family members, church family and a host of friends. Her family would like to extend a special thank you to her devoted caregiver. Nellie Camacho, for the wonderful care she gave to Hazel.
