    Hearthu Pruitt

    October 8, 1938 - February 9, 2020

"She is clothed with strength and dignity…Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her. Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all." Proverbs 31:25-28 Hearthu Forbes Pruitt passed away peacefully, surrounded by her children, February 9, 2020. She was met in Heaven by the love of her life, A.P. on what would have been their fifty-eighth wedding anniversary. Hearthu was born October 8, 1938 to Walter and Eddie Jo Forbes, both of whom preceded her in death as well as her two brothers and three sisters. She is survived by her children: David and wife Cheryl, Sunny, Tammy, Melanie and husband Michael, Audie and wife Sharon, Debbie and husband Ken, Sandy and husband Davin, Penny and husband Stephen; grandchildren: Molly, Cassie, Jody, Jeremy, Abby, Chad, Ashley, Will, Michael, Luke and Amy; nine great-grandchildren; a brother, Ollen Forbes; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Though Hearthu faced many health challenges the past six years, her faith never faltered, her strength never weakened, and her courage never yielded. She loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren with all her heart. She was loved by many and will be missed greatly. Funeral Service for Hearthu will be 10 a.m. Saturday, February 15, 2020 at Victory Church in Scurry with her interment following at Kaufman Cemetery. Hearthu’s family will receive friends 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, February 14, 2020 at Max Slayton Funeral Chapel in Terrell. In lieu of flowers, Hearthu’s family asks donations to be made to Victory Church, 7325 S. State Hwy. 34, Scurry, TX 75158.
