    Hunter Shane Willingham

    August 30, 1996 - September 21, 2019

Hunter Shane Willingham, beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, uncle and friend, passed away September 21, 2019. Hunter was born Aug. 30, 1996 in Dallas, Texas, one of three beloved sons to his parents, Gary and Kristin. Growing up, his fun-loving personality was the first thing you noticed about Hunter. His smile and laugh were the highlights of others’ days and he always managed to help everyone see the best in themselves. Hunter was welcomed into Heaven by his uncle, Ray Willingham, grandfather, Robert Gore and his grandparents, Charles Russell and Lillian Pearl Willingham. Hunter was a 2015 graduate of Forney High School. He worked at Utility Tractor Trailer in Dallas where he was a loyal employee with an admirable work ethic. Hunter loved hunting, especially dove hunting, and fishing as well as playing video games and listening to music. Time spent with family and friends were Hunter’s favorite times and, while he worked hard, he truly looked forward to getting home to his family to just relax and be with them. His eight nieces and nephews thought their Uncle Hunter was the best man ever because he always made time to play with them in their imaginative games and their cool toys. He had patience to spare with them and there was never a dull moment with their activities! Hunter always made time for his friends and his family and it was well known that he would place their needs above his own because of his intense love and his devotion to those he loved. A wonderful young man with a brilliant sense of humor and generous heart for others, Hunter will be missed greatly and loved forever. Those left to celebrate Hunter’s legacy are is father, Gary Willingham and wife, Kim, of Terrell; mother, Kristin Eddy and husband, Layne, of Mansfield; brothers: Bradley Wayne Willingham and wife, Jessica, Tyler Dane Willingham and wife, Xue; step-siblings: Jesse Gutierrez, Peyton Eddy, William Eddy and Ava Eddy; adoring nieces and nephews: Autumn, Clark, Landon, Ali, Katelynn, McKinley, Luke and Adeline; grandmothers: Ann Gale and Nancy Buckley as well as aunts, uncles, extended family and a host of friends who will never forget him. A Celebration of Life for Hunter will be 3:00 pm, Saturday, September 28, 2019, at Max Slayton Funerals and Cremations with Rev. Homer Morgan officiating. Condolences and memories may be shared with his family at www.maxslaytonfunerals.com
