Jeremy Wayne Kennedy

Jeremy Wayne Kennedy, of Terrell, passed away December 21, 2016. He was born June 1, 1969 in Fairfax, VA to James and Barbara Kennedy. Jeremy was welcomed into Heaven by his grandmothers who preceded him in death. The son of a loving family, Jeremy moved to many places such as Texas, Virginia, California, Utah, and Washington State in his youth and settled in Rockwall, Texas on a 15 acre ranch. Finding that he and his wife, Margaret, needed more room to raise their family as well as expand their dream of rescuing horses from adverse situations, Jeremy began a search for the perfect place to expand and after four years, found the new location for Silver Lining Training Center in Terrell, Texas. He was the president of their rescue group and also worked as a Senior Engineer for AT&T, where his reputation as a premier problem solver was well known among his colleagues. Jeremy had a quiet temperament until you were able to really spend time with him and then his wit and quick comebacks in conversation would keep you on your toes. He had a voracious thirst for knowledge and knew something about everything especially how to make successful plans to create, build and conclude any project or task. He enjoyed every John Wayne movie and watching these movies while spending time with family was one of his greatest joys. He was well known for his firm statement of “We don’t need that!” only to relent minutes later when Margaret, one of his children or his many friends would provide the reasons why and he would lovingly give to them what they wanted as well as making sure that he went the extra mile to ensure that they were happy. A rock solid persona (much like his hero John Wayne) Jeremy’s legacy of love and giving will be treasured always by his family and his many friends. He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife Margaret, his 9 children, Christopher, Stephanie, Danielle, Justin, Jason, Amanda, Joshua, Alexandra, Kailynn and his grandchildren, Kayden, Evelyn and Elizabeth Rose. He also leaves behind, his parents Jack and Barbara and siblings, Jeanette, James and Jennifer. He also had several nieces, nephews, extended family and a host of friends who loved him greatly. A gathering of family and friends will be 6-8pm, Thursday, Dec. 29, 2016 at Max Slayton Funeral Chapel. A Celebration of Life will be held from 3 pm. To 5 p.m. on Friday, December 30, 2016 at Silver Linings Training Center 14737 FM 1392 Terrell.
