Jewel “Granny” Schulz, of Dallas, passed away peacefully on October 19, 2017 with her devoted family at her side. She was met in Heaven by her beloved husband, William Carl Schulz, and her sister, Mildred Dowdy. Jewel was born August 17, 1920 in Dallas, Texas and was an active and faithful member of Oak Cliff Christian Church. Her dedication to being the “hands and feet” of her Savior enabled her to always serve others before herself. She was also a tireless volunteer with Methodist Central Hospital of Dallas where her warm smile and wonderful personality brought joy to those who visited the gift shop. Her family and spending time with them was very important to Jewel and she truly enjoyed traveling with family and friends. A loving wife and mother, cherished grandmother and great-grandmother, beloved sister and aunt, Jewel will be missed by so many who loved her greatly. She leaves to carry on her legacy of unconditional love to her sons: William “Bill” Schulz and wife, Sandra, Martin Schulz and wife, Charmaine, all of Crandall; grandchildren: Crissy Koller and husband Eric, Billy Schulz, Martine Hamby and husband, Chad, Stephan Spurgeon and husband, John; great grandchildren: Kennedy Schulz, J.D. Koller, Erica Koller, Trent Koller, Maci Koller, Grant Hamby, Jake Hamby, Ollie Jack Spurgeon as well as nieces, nephews, extended family and a host of friends. A Celebration of Jewel’s life will be during graveside services at 2:00pm, Monday, November 6, 2017 at Grove Hill Memorial Park in Dallas. For those wishing to do so, memorials in honor of Jewel may be made to Always Accurate Hospice, 1404 Washington St., Kaufman, TX 75142 or to Oak Cliff Christian Church, 660 S Zang Blvd, Dallas, TX 75208.
