John Curtis Chitty

John Curtis Chitty passed away peacefully on September 16, 2018 in Fort Worth, Texas. John was born April 1, 1967 in Bryan, Texas to Harvey and Mary (Carden) Chitty. He graduated from Wills Point High School in 1985 after which he attended Tyler Junior College. John was a volunteer with Texas Stampede and enjoyed all Texas history and traveling as much as he could along with reading any book about all subjects. He was an avid photographer and he captured serene moments of Texas scenery that was a pure reflection of all things native to Texas. He was an active member of Capstone Church in Benbrook with his family and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Those left to cherish John’s memory are his father, Harvey Chitty and wife, Jeanine, of Terrell; mother, Mary Chitty of Ft. Worth; brothers: Mark Chitty and wife, Linda, of Lindale, Matthew Chitty and wife, Amy, of Maud as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Graveside service for John will be at 11:00am, Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at College Mound Cemetery in Terrell. A Celebration of John’s life will be held at 10:00am, Saturday, Sept. 29, 2018 at Capstone Church, 4823 W. Loop 820 S., Benbrook, TX, 76126. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the College Mound Cemetery Association, PO Box 105, Terrell, TX, 75160.
