    Lewis Haynes

    September 13, 1938 - September 2, 2020

    Lewis Deon Haynes, of Quinlan, passed away on Sept 2, 2020 in Greenville. He was born Sept. 13, 1938 to Jessie and Edith Haynes, both of whom preceded him in death. Mr. Haynes worked for many years with LTV Aerospace and Defense Co. in Grand Prairie until his retirement. He enjoyed working on and repairing the many gadgets and machines that he collected and he had a talent for fixing anything. He also enjoyed traveling to, and playing his luck at, casinos until his health began to fail. Mr. Haynes is survived by his wife, Willie Mae Haynes; daughter, Brandi Mae Haynes; brother-in-law, Junior Johnson and wife, Rosie; sister-in-law, Connie Johnson as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, other extended family and friends. A memorial service will be 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at Max Slayton Funeral Chapel.
