    February 14, 1967 - March 8, 2022

    Margotina Gómez, conocida cariñosamente como Margot, falleció en paz el 8 de marzo de 2022 en Mesquite, Texas. Margot nació el 14 de febrero de 1967 en Zoquititan Elota, Sinaloa, México. Hija de Canuto Chavez Padilla y Maria Edelmira Corrales Salas. Le precedieron en la muerte su madre, María Edelmira Corrales Salas, su hermano, Fernando Chávez y sus sobrinos, Kevin Yáñez y José A. Manjarrez. Margot era una dulce dama que siempre estaba dispuesta a ayudar a cualquiera en cualquier momento. La alegría de su vida eran sus nietos y le encantaba pasar cada momento libre con ellos. Se mudó a Terrell hace 14 años y tuvo un impacto maravilloso en su comunidad al preparar comida en el B-B-Q de Eddie Deen. Cuando no cocinaba para la comunidad en Eddie Deen's, siempre estaba en la cocina sirviendo a otros con sus platos exclusivos como ceviche, barbacoa y frijoles puercos. En su tiempo libre, disfrutaba comprando artículos nuevos para decorar su hogar que reflejaban su sentido único del estilo. Esposa devota, madre dedicada y abuela amorosa, todos los que la conocieron extrañarán mucho a Margot. El amado esposo de Margot, José A. Gómez, de 34 años de matrimonio, falleció cinco días después que ella. A Margot le sobreviven sus hijas, Abigail Gomez y esposo Cruz Torres de Terrell, y Yesenia Gomez y esposo Carlos Guerrero, Jr. de Terrell; sus amados nietos: Priscila Espinoza, Alexander Torres y Melanie Guerrero; hermanos: Víctor M. Chaves, Yolanda Chavez, Maria Chavez, Wilfredo Chavez, Araceli Chavez y Edgar A. Chavez, así como muchos otros familiares y amigos, quienes seguirán recordando su memoria. El funeral será el jueves 17 de marzo de 2022 a las 2:00 p. m. en Max Slayton Funeral Chapel y seguirá el entierro en Highland Memorial Gardens en Terrell. La familia recibirá a los amigos de 12:30 p. m. a 2:00 p. m., el jueves 17 de marzo de 2022 en Max Slayton Funerals and Cremations. Margotina Gomez, affectionally known as Margot, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2022 in Mesquite, Texas. Margot was born February 14, 1967 in Zoquititan Elota, Sinaloa, Mexico to Canuto Chavez Padilla and Maria Edelmira Corrales Salas. She is preceded in death by her mother, Maria Edelmira Corrales Salas, her brother, Fernando Chavez and nephews, Kevin Yanez and Jose A. Manjarrez. Margot was a sweet lady who was always willing to help anyone at any time. The joy of her life was her grandkids and she loved spending every spare moment with them. She moved to Terrell 14 years ago and made a wonderful impact on her community by preparing food at Eddie Deen’s B-B-Q. When not cooking for the community at Eddie Deen’s, she was always in the kitchen serving others with her signature dishes such as ceviche, barbacoa, and frijoles puercos. In her free time, she enjoyed shopping for new items to decorate her home that reflected her unique sense of style. A devoted wife, dedicated mother and loving grandmother, Margot will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Margot's beloved husband, Jose A. Gomez of 34 years of marriage, passed away five days after she passed away. Margot is survived by her daughters, Abigail Gomez and husband Cruz Torres of Terrell, and Yesenia Gomez and husband Carlos Guerrero, Jr. of Terrell; her beloved grandchildren: Priscila Espinoza, Alexander Torres and Melanie Guerrero; siblings: Victor M. Chaves, Yolanda Chavez, Maria Chavez, Wilfredo Chavez, Araceli Chavez and Edgar A. Chavez as well as many other extended family and friends, all of whom will continue to treasure her memory. Funeral service will be at 2:00 pm, Thursday, March 17, 2022 at Max Slayton Funeral Chapel with interment to follow at Highland Memorial Gardens in Terrell. The family will receive friends 12:30 pm to 2:00 pm, Thursday, March 17, 2022 at Max Slayton Funerals and Cremations.
