    Omar Eloy Galan Jr.

    December 28, 2017 - November 20, 2018

Omar Eloy Galan, Jr (OJ) passed away into the arms of Jesus on November 20, 2018. OJ was born December 28, 2017 in Rowlett, Tx to Omar, Sr. and Zora (Holick) Galan. A brighter smile and more vibrant laugh would be hard to find if you looked in every corner of the world. OJ was a light to his parents’ lives but more than that, he was an angel on earth to his entire family. Kisses and hugs from Mommy and Daddy were enjoyed by OJ and there were always willing arms to hold him close and shower him with love. His chubby arms reached out often to his sister, Sophia, and they were inseparable. OJ’s favorite song was “Lean On Me” and seeing his eyes light up as he listened will be a treasured memory for his parents to keep until they are all reunited again in Heaven. Though his time here was all too brief, his family takes comfort in knowing that every day he spent on Earth was filled with countless kisses and hugs, lots of toys, songs and complete unconditional love from everyone who was in his life. OJ is survived by his parents: Zora and Omar Galan of Wills Point; sister, Sophia Galan of Wills Point; expected little sister, Elena Galan; grandparents: Shanda Smith, Haydee Tucker, Eloy Galan and Jose Antunez, all of Terrell; aunts and uncles: Priscilla, Daisy, Angelica, Marcos, Javier, Nick, Zach, and Artemio as well as several other cousins, extended family and a host of friends. Funeral service for our precious OJ will be at 6:00pm, Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at Max Slayton Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friends beginning at 4:00pm to service time.
