    Patricia "Tricia" Maxfield

    December 24, 1950 - July 27, 2019

Patricia “Tricia” Maxfield, of Terrell, passed away peacefully on July 27, 2019 in Dallas. Tricia was born Dec. 24, 1950 in Waco, Texas. She was met in Heaven by her father, J.W. Miles, mother, Bea Bragg, stepfather, Raymond V. Bragg, brother, Kenneth Wayne Miles and sisters: Lola England, Peggy Miles, Judy Berry; mother-in-law, Liz Maxfield, brothers-in-law: Larry, Richard and sister-in-law, Paula Gilbert. Tricia grew up in Waco and attended University High School after which she drove an 18-wheeler truck for a bit. She met Terry Maxfield through her best friend, Betty Campbell, and their “first date” was over the phone. They then met in person at WW Fairfields and it was love at first sight. She said “I do for forever” to Terry on October 21, 1983 and they were married by Judge Mattie Mays in Rockwall County and the rest of their lives were spent being devoted to each other. She was very creative and loved to design and make ceramic art. Tricia also loved to garden, and she was happiest when she was planting and lovingly tending her flowerbeds and her plants. When ever she encountered any plant not thriving, Tricia would take it home and with her incredible talent for nurturing, she could always bring any plant back to its full bloom and beauty. She and Terry were members of Trinity Life Baptist Church in Garland where her joyful personality was a welcome sight at church gatherings. A loving spirit with a heart for others, Tricia will be missed by all who knew her. She leaves to treasure her memory her husband, Terry Maxfield; brother, Michael Jay Miles and wife, Debbie; brothers-in-law: Don Maxfield, Bruce Maxfield and wife, Dianne; sister-in-law, Suzie Maxfield as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, extended family and friends. Funeral service will be at 1:00pm, Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at Max Slayton Funeral Chapel with Rev. Brian West officiating and interment to follow at Oakland Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00pm, Tuesday, July 30, 2019 at Max Slayton Funerals and Cremations.
