    Paul F. Allen III

    February 4, 1959 - December 22, 2020

Paul Fredrick Allen, III, of Poetry passed away on December 22, 2020. Paul was born on Feb. 24, 1959 in Osaka, Japan to Paul Fredrick, Jr., and Carolynne Anne (Pollard) Allen. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jack and Dorothy Pollard, sister, Valerie McMillan, niece, Alyssa Tweedell, nephew, James Weller and step-father, John E. Tweedell. Paul graduated in 1977 from Bryan Adams Senior High School and worked for and, retired from, Kaufman County Pct 2 Road and Bridge department. He loved living in the country and enjoyed anything having to do with the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting. Spending time with family and friends during barbeques and cook outs was always a favorite way for Paul to fill his days. His generosity was very well known far and wide by all who knew him, including mowing his neighbors culverts, easements and overgrown areas which he was glad to do anytime. He was a proud dad and grandfather and he felt pure joy for Jessica and Ashton as they were the lights of his life. A man of quiet strength and sound counsel to all who met him, Paul will be greatly missed by everyone whose lives he touched. Paul is survived by his beloved daughter, Jessica Allen; treasured grandson, Ashton Allen; mother, Carolynne “Lynne” Tweedell; sister, Traci Curtis; brothers: John Allen and Kevin Tweedell and wife, Julie; nieces: Carolynne Weller, Jordan Tweedell, Brooke Tweedell, Savannah Marie Allen, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends. Funeral service will be 1:00 pm, Monday, December 28, 2020, at Max Slayton Funeral Chapel with interment to follow at Campground Cemetery. The family will receive friends beginning at 11:00 am to service time.
