Thomas "Tommy" Rouvaldt
August 21, 1947 - September 3, 2019
Tommy Rouvaldt, of Talty, passed away September 3, 2019. Tommy was born August 21, 1947 in Terrell, Texas to Charles Henry and Patrice Margaret (Adams) Rouvaldt, both of whom preceded him in death along with his brother, Johnny Rouvaldt. Tommy grew up on the family cotton farm in Talty where he never left. His heart and love was for his family’s land and the cotton that grew on it for so many generations. He graduated from Forney High School in 1965 and was a faithful member of St. Martin Catholic Church. Tommy was an avid sports fan with the Texas Rangers and the Aggies being his personal favorites. He was kind, loyal, dependable, caring and could be counted on to be the first to help and the last to leave after all was taken care of. His generous and quiet spirit will be remembered by his family and friends and his devotion to the ones he loved will be a proud legacy they will all be proud to carry forward. Tommy is survived by his siblings: Mary Jo Woodard and husband, Jerry, Ellen Booth, Patricia Lunsford and husband, Richard, Marty Rouvaldt and wife, Regina, Libby Keierleber and husband, James, Micky Rouvaldt and wife, Dana as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of cousins and friends, all of whom will miss Tommy dearly. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be at 7:00pm, Saturday, September 7, 2019 with the family receiving friends beginning at 6:00pm at Max Slayton Funeral Chapel. Funeral service will be at 2:00pm, Sunday, September 8, 2019 at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, 9470 Co Rd 213, Forney, TX 75126, Interment will follow at Oakland Memorial Park in Terrell.
