    Tom Pille

    December 15, 1943 - May 5, 2022

Thomas Joseph Pille, beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, Pacca, Grandpa and friend, passed away peacefully into the presence of Jesus on the afternoon of May 5, 2022 with family at his side. Tom was born December 15, 1943 in Marshalltown, IA to Francis and Hazel Pille, both of whom also welcomed him into Heaven along with his great grandson, Jack Judge. Tom grew up in Cedar Falls, IA and was a 1961 graduate of Cedar Falls High School. He was always a “people person” and whether you had just met him or had known him your whole life, Tom was always outgoing and friendly. During his lifetime, his career paths reflected his cheerful personality and he worked in several management and supervisor roles with many companies including Pizza Hut, Dairy Queen and 7-11. In the past few years, he worked as a courier with companies dedicated to special deliveries where, once again, Tom’s sense of humor and easy-going manner, made instant friends of customers on his routes. Tom loved working in the yard, and spending time with family on camping trips or playing card games, especially Mexican Train. Tom had a unique ability to interpret the rules of every game played so that his winning was (mostly) assured! On September 17, 1988, Tom married Wanda Green and the love they had for each other was visible and magical. Upon introducing Wanda to others, Tom would always call her “my sweetie” and “the love of my life”. Their bond together was a daily testimony to others of what true love means and together, they made every day special to each other. He and Wanda were active and faithful members of First United Methodist Church in Royse City where his smile and servant’s heart was a welcome part of worship to members and visitors. Wherever there was laughter, there was Tom and he brightened so many days for others during his lifetime. A wonderful man who enjoyed every blessing that he was given, Tom will be missed so much by the many people whose lives he touched with his genuine kindness, his wit and humor, and his unconditional love. He leaves his memory to be cherished by his “sweetie”, Wanda Pille; his children: Dean Pille (Angie), Traci Schuler; grandchildren: Shelby Puckett (Matthew), Alicia Pille (Beth), Austin Pille, Darci Judge (Ryan), Emma Schuler, Daniel Schuler; great grandchildren: Lyla Judge and Nora Judge; sister, Patricia Barber (Fred); nieces and nephews: Randy Barber, Tricia Chinners (Bill), Valerie Weaver (Dustin), Bradley Green (Janie Ruth), Wesley Green (Amber), Dylan Easter and Matthew Cech as well as several other extended family, church family and a host of friends, all of whom loved Tom dearly. Funeral service will be at 11:00am, Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at Royse City United Methodist Church with his family receiving friends beginning at 10:00am to service time. The family suggests that, in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Royse City United Methodist Church, 305 N. Josephine, Royse City, TX, 75189.
