She was surrounded by those who loved her dearly from the moment of her diagnosis until the very end. Agnes was born to Katie Mae Oglesby and Harry B. Oglesby on February 23, 1938 in the great state of Tennessee. She is preceded in death by both of her parents; her beloved husband Tommy Ray Miller; her sisters: Letha Pearl, Minnie Evelyn, Mary Francis, and Clara Elizabeth; her brothers: Harry E, Charles B, and Aubrey Gene; and finally her precious granddaughter Shanna Renae Smith. Agnes was the sweetest most kind soul you would ever want to meet. She never knew a stranger and never walked past a baby or a dog she didn’t say hello to. She was amazingly clever and creative which lent itself well to her career as a seamstress, a talent that was taught to her by her mother and grandmother. Agnes could look at just about anything and figure out how to make it herself with improvements. This included joyfully making her granddaughter's school clothes, doll clothes, accessories, and gorgeous pageant dresses. In her later years, Agnes could always be found with a crochet hook and ball of yarn in her hand, creating whatever masterpiece was in her mind at the moment. She was also an excellent cook, famous for her pecan pies that always sold well at the Able Springs Volunteer Fire Department auction. She passed her love for all of these things down to anyone who was willing to learn, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Agnes could make anything grow. One touch of her loving hand and plants, animals, and children alike would blossom under her careful care. She will be greatly missed by all of the lives she touched. Agnes is survived by her daughter Sherrie Amaro and partner Charles Robertson of Nevada, TX; youngest daughter Angie Kristofek of Hinesville, GA; oldest granddaughter Sheila Singleton husband Quinton of Princeton, TX; granddaughter Katie Arita husband Carlos of Jarrell, TX; granddaughter Ashlynn Randolph husband Tyrone of Hinesville, GA; granddaughter Alexandra Kristofek of Hinesville, GA; grandson Tyrone Kristofek of Hinesville,GA; granddaughter Teonna Kristofek of Hinesville, GA; and grandson Giovanni Kristofek of Georgetown,KY; and great grandchildren: Caitlyn, Joann, Emma, Hendrix and Addison of Jarrell, TX; Thomas, Tanner, and Randi of Princeton, TX; and Tyrone, Darrilynn, and Riley of Hinesville, GA. Services for Agnes are scheduled at 12:00 pm, Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at the Max Slayton Funeral Chapel in Terrell, Texas; interment to follow at Highland Memorial Gardens. Visitation will begin one hour prior to service.
