Brian Kilmer

Brian Eugene Kilmer, of Terrell, beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend passed away, along with his son, Cole Kilmer, on June 22, 2026. Brian was born June 29, 1970 in Terrell to Bobby and Coleen Kilmer in Terrell, Texas and both he and Cole were met in Heaven by Coleen who preceded them in death on May 9, 2025. While the family grieves the tremendous loss of Brian and Cole, they take comfort in knowing that Coleen was there to joyfully welcome them both into Heaven, together forever. Brian grew up in Terrell and enlisted in the US Army, where he served with honor and distinction. He married the love of his life and best friend, Stephanie, on June 11, 1994 and together they built a family and home filled with love, memories and togetherness. He and Stephanie were the proud parents of four children and Brian was a dedicated and devoted father. He was a longtime employee of Kaufman County, Pct. 1, where he also worked alongside Cole. Working together was a special part of Brian’s life and he and Cole would most recently both be employees of Ellis County, Pct. 1 as well. Being able to work side by side for so many years was a true gift that neither Brian or Cole took for granted. Days spent with Stephanie and his kids were Brian’s favorite days. He truly loved being a father and, then later, the best Papa to his grandchildren. Whenever he could, Brian also made sure to take a trips with family and friends with his favorite destination being Colorado. Being in the mountains, surrounded by the ones he loved most, making cherished memories, were the moments that Brian lived for. A man who had always had a smile and a generosity that made him a friend to all he met, Brian will b forever missed and never forgotten. He leaves his legacy to be proudly carried on by his wife, Stephanie Kilmer; children: Jessica Drake and husband, Randy, Brianna Kilmer, Patrick Kilmer and Savannah Kilmer; his grandchildren: Braleigh, Kynleigh, Patience and Joey; father, Bobby Kilmer; sister, Katrina Freeman and husband, Bobby as well as other extended family and many friends. Funeral service will be at 11:00am, Tuesday, June 30, 2026 at First Missionary Baptist Church with interment to follow at Elmo Cemetery.
