Florence "Sissy" Nalls

Florence Lee “Sissy” Nalls passed away peacefully on November 6, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was born August 26, 1950 in Terrell to the late Albert Andrew and Yvonne Gequita Wells Anderson and she was joyfully welcomed to Heaven by her parents, her husband Fred Nalls, her son Jack Procter, Jr., her grandson, Coby Bostick and her brother, Andy Anderson. Sissy was an amazing lady who had a fiercely independent spirit. With Sissy, what you saw was what you got and she never backed up from the things that she held dear and believed in. Her love and loyalty for her family was a hallmark of Sissy’s personality and she prioritized family above all. During her life, she worked for Lone Star Gas (Oncor) for over 36 years until her retirement. She married her soulmate and the love of her life, Fred Nalls, on November 21, 1980 in Terrell and together they made every day an adventure, filling the days with memories with their families and friends. Sissy had a heart for others and her remarkable Southern graciousness was always seen in her personality. She truly radiated hospitality and she loved relaxed visits around good home cooked meals and friendly get togethers where everyone had a great time and caught up on each other’s lives and families. Sissy’s devotion to Fred, their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren was unmatched and her family knows that they were the lucky recipients of a double blessing from her: her constant love for them in life and that Sissy’s love will continue into countless generations to come. A beautiful woman, inside and out, who only thought of others above herself, Sissy’s family will greatly miss her but take comfort that she is reunited with her beloved Fred and so many other loved ones and friends who were waiting to welcome her home. She is survived by her children: Donna Tomerlin and husband Marc, Marcia Bostick, Stacie Nalls Ryan and husband Truck, and Mark Nalls and Teresa Jackson; grandchildren: Delaney Rose and husband Reed, Devin Nalls and wife Jodie, Clayton Tomerlin and wife Brittani, Kelsey McClain and husband T.J., Arick Khurramov, Kelly Coffey and husband Ryan; 8 great grandchildren; sisters-in-law: Patty Nalls and Glenda Ton and brother-in-law, John Nalls along with numerous nieces, nephews, other extended family and a host of friends. Funeral service will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday November 10, 2024 at Max Slayton Funeral Chapel with her family receiving friends beginning at 2:00 p.m. to service time. Graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday November 11, 2024 at Fox Cemetery in Kaufman.
