Gerry Lee Hathcock

Gerry Lee Hathcock, Sr. passed away peacefully on February 13, 2023 in Terrell, Texas. Gerry was born on September 17, 1951 in Ennis, Texas to William Harley and Donnie Rebecca Hathcock, both of whom preceded him in death along with brothers Travis and Tom Hathcock and daughter Brittany Lechele Hathcock. Gerry was a one of a kind personality that could light up any room he walked into. He always put God first in his life, secondly, his beloved wife, Brenda, who he pleased beyond measure, and his children. A family doesn’t need to be perfect, it just need to be united. Because of Gerry’s love for the Lord he made prayer a priority; he would often invite others to attend church with him and you could see the blessings that followed Gerry all the days of his life. Gerry loved spending time with his brothers and sister, along with watching the children that Brenda and Marissa watched in their home. He also enjoyed his favorite past times: hot rods, his Harley and car shows, anything with a ‘need for speed’! He was a jokester and an encourager, always had a heart of gold and wanted to make sure to help others in anyway possible, especially his children, grandsons and great-granddaughter. Left to cherish Gerry’s memories are his wife, Brenda Hathcock; son, Gerry Lee Hathcock, Jr. and wife Tonya of Jonesville, LA, daughters Tammy Graham and husband Brandon of Sachse, TX, and Marissa Hathcock of Terrell, TX. Also left to carry on Gerry’s legacy are his grandchildren, Trevor Graham, Tanner Hathcock, William Taylor Hathcock, Tolson Graham and great-granddaughter Grace Lee Hathcock along with brothers Carl Hathcock and wife Gaye; Russell Hathcock and wife Angelee; sister Glynda Fuller and husband Robert; mother-in-law Shirley Nash of Everett, WA and sisters-in-law Debbie Nash and Karen Wright. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, February 18, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Life Pointe Church, Terrell, Texas. The family will receive guests and friends at a visitation on Friday evening February 17, 2023 from 6 - 8 p.m. at Life Pointe Church, Terrell, Texas. Interment is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. March, 3, 2023 at DFW National Cemetery. ****Please pull into Lane 1 behind the Funeral Coach at 10:45 a.m.****
