José A. Gómez falleció pacíficamente el 13 de marzo de 2022 en Mesquite, Texas, solo unos días después de perder a su amada esposa, Margotina. Jose y Margotina estuvieron uno al lado del otro hasta el final. Nació el 22 de enero de 1967 en Pericos, Nayarit, hijo de Santiago Gómez Mejía y Eulalia Santiago Vásquez. Le precedieron en la muerte su amada esposa, Margotina Gómez, su padre, Santiago Gómez Mejía, su madre, Eulalia Santiago Vásquez, sus hermanos, José Guadalupe Gómez e Ipolito Gómez, y su hermana, Silvia Gómez. José era un hombre que o estaba en el trabajo o en casa con su familia. Cuando estaba en casa, pasaba tiempo con su familia, sentado en su estacionamiento escuchando su tipo de música favorita, Corridos, y bebiendo cerveza. De vez en cuando llevaba a su esposa Margot a la ciudad para pasar una noche de comida y compras. José era hábil con sus manos y convertiría cualquier proyecto que creara en una maravillosa obra de arte. Su césped y el área alrededor de su casa eran prueba de su habilidad en el diseño y de su ojo para la belleza. A José le sobreviven sus hijas: Abigail Gomez y esposo, Cruz Torres, de Terrell, y Yesenia Gomez y esposo, Carlos Guerrero, Jr. de Terrell; sus amados nietos: Priscila Espinoza, Alexander Torres y Melanie Guerrero; hermano Margarito Gómez, hermanas: María D. Gómez, Berta Gómez Yolanda Gómez, Rosa Gómez y Aurelia Gómez, así como muchos otros familiares y amigos, quienes seguirán recordandolo en su memoria. El funeral será el jueves 17 de marzo de 2022 a las 2:00 p. m. en Max Slayton Funeral Chapel y seguirá el entierro en Highland Memorial Gardens en Terrell. Como en la vida, José y Margot estarán juntos en sus funerales y serán sepultados uno allado del otro. Gomez passed away peacefully on March 13, 2022 in Mesquite, Texas, just days after losing his beloved wife, Margotina. Jose and Margotina were side by side until the end. He was born January 22, 1967 in Pericos, Nayarit, to Santiago Gomez Mejia and Euialia Santiago Vasquez. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Margotina Gomez, father, Santiago Gomez Mejia, mother Eulalia Santiago Vasquez, brothers, Jose Guadalupe Gomez and Ipolito Gomez and, sister, Silvia Gomez. Jose was a hardworking man who was either at work or at home with his family. When at home, he would be spending time with his family, sitting in the garage listening to his favorite type of music, Corrido’s, and drinking beer. Once in a while he would take his wife, Margot, out on the town for a night of food and shopping. Jose was handy with his hands and would make any project he created into a wonderful work of art. His lawn and the area around his home was proof of his skill in design and of his eye for beauty. Jose is survived by his daughters: Abigail Gomez and husband, Cruz Torres, of Terrell, and Yesenia Gomez and husband, Carlos Guerrero, Jr. of Terrell; his beloved grandchildren: Priscila Espinoza, Alexander Torres and Melanie Guerrero; brother Margarito Gomez, sisters: Maria D. Gomez, Berta Gomez Yolanda Gomez, Rosa Gomez and Aurelia Gomez as well as many other extended family and friends, all of whom will continue to treasure his memory. Funeral service will be at 2:00 pm, Thursday, March 17, 2022 at Max Slayton Funeral Chapel with interment to follow at Highland Memorial Gardens in Terrell. As in life, Jose and Margot will be together at their funerals as well as laid to rest by each other. The family will receive friends 12:30 pm to 2:00 pm, Thursday, March 17, 2022 at Max Slayton Funerals and Cremations.
