Nancy Boston

Nancy Jane Boston, formerly of Terrell and lately of Wylie, passed away on October 16, 2023 in Rowlett, TX with her beloved family at her side. Nancy was born Aug. 23, 1935 in Terrell to Huey and Bonnie Littleton Moore, both of whom preceded her in death along with her husband, John (Johnny) Boston, Jr.; brothers, Huey Moore, Jr. and Charles Ray Moore and her sisters, Johnnie Ruth Belew, and Betty Jo Rains. Nancy graduated from Terrell High School in 1953 and then attended Henderson County Junior College. On October 1, 1955, Nancy married her best friend and soul mate, Johnny Boston, Jr. and together they raised a family filled with love and memories. As a young mother, she began working with American National Bank in Terrell during the 1960s, a position she truly loved as she worked alongside Mr. Gill and the other bank officers as they served the citizens of Terrell. Her experience of working at ANB becoming “just like family” made Nancy an account holder for life! She and her family moved for a bit to Corpus Christi where she again found a fulfilling position in banking again with Parkdale State Bank, where she again enjoyed serving customers and bank coworkers. After relocating to the North Texas area in 1969, Nancy became employed as a school secretary, after which she joined the library staff as a library aide for the Athens, Texas School District in 1970. She loved working in the library and remained in that position for over twenty-five years, until her retirement from Carpenter Middle School in Plano, TX on May 31, 1995 Nancy always looked forward to any family get together and she was happiest when she was with her children and grandchildren, and later, her great grandchildren. She was a member of several churches having attended First Baptist Church of Terrell and, more recently, First Baptist Church of Wylie where her bright smile and helpful nature always made instant friends of any one Nancy met. She was a devout Christian lady and lived her life loving every human regardless of their differences. She genuinely loved as Jesus told us to love and truly lived by one of her favorite verses "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you". A loving spirit who always made time for her family and her friends, Nancy will be forever missed and always cherished. Nancy leaves to carry on her legacy of unconditional love to her children: Nicki Allen and husband, Jerry, Ben Boston and wife, Linda, and Jennifer Boston; grandchildren: Justin Perkins, Alex Allen and wife, Kristina, Katie Emerline and husband, Andrew, Mikayla Paine and husband, Evan, and Neil Morales; great grandchildren: Lydia, Maisie and Norah Paine, Griffin, Marshall, and William Allen; brother, Paul Wayne Moore and wife, Connie as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other extended family and a host of friends. Graveside service will be at 11:00am, Saturday, October 21, 2023 at Oakland Memorial Park under the direction of Max Slayton Funerals and Cremations.
