Rachel Lee

Rachel Lee, longtime resident of Terrell, passed away peacefully on July 15, 2026. She lived a life defined by her dedication to her family, her vibrant social circles and the traditions she held dear. Rachel was born October 1, 1939 in Dallas, TX, a treasured daughter to Johnnie and Ada Mae Hussong, both of whom joyfully greeted her in Heaven upon her arrival along with her beloved husband, Billy Mack Lee, and sister, Johnette Currington. Rachel and Billy Mack met after his return from serving in the US Air Force and married soon after on April 4, 1958 at First United Methodist Church in Terrell. She was a devoted wife and mother and her love and dedication to Billy Mack and their children: Billy Todd, Carrie, and April. Rachel loved spending time with her social circles and playing games with organizations she was active in through the years. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority Theta Thi Chapter, Terrell Browning Club. Terrell Tennis Club, book club, and Terrell Tennis Club. Rachel also LOVED playing bridge and had a regular Wednesday bridge group for many years. Later in years, she was able to devote more time to playing Bridge and for several days a week, she played Duplicate Bridge (an extremely competitive variation of bridge) earning the high accomplishment of Life Master Gold Status, of which she was rightly proud of! A woman who made sure that her days were spent with the ones she loved most doing the things she enjoyed, Rachel will be forever missed and never forgotten. She leaves her memory to be lovingly carried on by her children: Billy Todd Lee and wife, Melissa, of Terrell, Carrie Kunkel and husband, Steve, of Royse City, April Coltharp and husband, Brian, of Ft. Worth; grandchildren: Chad Miller and wife, Amber, Kelsie Dillon and husband, Ben, Chayce Coltharp; great grandchildren: Dylan Miller, Bayleigh Miller, Ellie Dillon and Josie Dillon along with other extended family, countless Bridge partners and many friends. Funeral service will be at 11:00am, Friday, July 17, 2026 at Max Slayton Funeral Chapel with interment to follow at Oakland Memorial Park where she will be laid to rest with her beloved husband, Billy Mack. Her family will receive friends beginning at 10:00am to service time.
