Rebecca "Becky Raz" Allen

Rebecca “Becky Raz” Allen closed her eyes on earth to open them in Heaven on the morning of September 22, 2017. She was surrounded by her loving family at every moment and she was reunited with her parents, Joseph Roger and Melba Rose Raz, who preceded her in death. Becky was born in Dallas on December 4, 1953 as an early and welcomed Christmas present, and she graduated from Terrell High School in 1972. She had a strong desire to always help people in both her professional and personal life. Becky was a very generous spirit and she took pride in working ‘behind the scenes’ so that others could always know to count on her quiet determination and loyalty. She enjoyed gardening and sewing. Many family members and friends have wonderful creations that she hand sewed which they will treasure. Family was important to Becky, and holidays or any spur-of-the-moment gathering was a favorite way for her to spend time. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Terrell, the Pilot Club, and served on the Volunteer Council for Terrell State Hospital. Her easy smile and willingness to help in any situation made Becky a joy for others to serve alongside her. One of her greatest joys in this life was spending time with her beloved grandson Arick. A wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, Becky will be missed by all who knew her. Her dog, "Mr. T" became her constant companion and her biggest fan. Her legacy of love, encouragement, and gratitude will continue to be held dear by her family and friends. Becky is survived by her daughter, Stacie Nalls and Sanjar of Sunnyvale; sons: Ronald Allen and Holly of Tyler, Randy Allen of Addison; grandson, Arick ; beloved dog, Tuppins; sister, Tammy Dry and Jr of Grand Saline as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and a host of friends. Funeral service will be at 2:00pm, Monday, Sept. 25, 2017 at Max Slayton Funeral Chapel with interment to follow at Haven of Memories in Canton, Texas. The family will receive friends 4-6pm, Sunday, Sept. 24, at Max Slayton Funerals and Cremations. In honor of Becky’s love for her beloved dog, memorials in her honor may be made to Terrell Animal Alliance, 10474 County Road 2326, Terrell, TX 75160.
