Max and his staff were right there for us when my mother passed away. Their primary focus is seeing to the needs of your family at a time of loss, the staff is great. They even had answers to questions that we did not know to ask. These folks are true professionals in every way. I am reminded of an old friend of mine that is in the catering business, she simply says, "We do this everyday" she is a professional in her field. Max and his staff could with confidence say the same thing.

I choose this funeral home out of 4 others I had spoken with because of Veronica's voice. The calmness and her way of speaking to me about my biggest loss I've ever experienced made me feel at ease. I’m not usually one to leave reviews unless I’m warning people not to use a business. However, my experience with Max and his team was incredible. I’ve been to my fair share of funerals but this was the first I was directly involved with planning (my father’s). Max and his team were swift, supportive, responsive, and caring literally from day 1. Max responded to all of my emails of tiny detail questions. He even came up with a quick solution to a flower arrangement issue that was perfect, before guests even began arriving. There was a slight misunderstanding (on my part) about some wording in the obituary. Veronica was patient and professional in not only clearing up my understanding, but changing the wording to make me more comfortable. Natalie was always there to help with small changes the day of the service, but not intrusive to my family and I. Aside from the meticulous care and attention to detail, my grandmother, my uncle, and I all said we have never seen a body prepared so well in the likeness of the person when they were living. I was concerned about seeing my dad for the last time in any condition other than the last time I had seen him. I was beyond well pleased. He looked like he could wake up any minute (in a non-creepy way). I can’t say enough great things about this team.

From the Sunday evening after my father passed in July until yesterday, 4 months after my father's funeral the Max Slayton family and especially Veronica have gone above and beyond the call of duty. Short story if you need a funeral home to handle everything call them today. Just call! My father passed suddenly. It was a quick hard blow on all of us. We were not in our right minds and wondering if this was real. Veronica answered the phone on a Sunday evening when I was expecting to just leave a message so someone would call me back on Monday. I was out of it and she immediately showed compassion and warmth and scheduled me for Monday morning. From the moment I met her I knew I was at the right place. This is definitely her calling. She walked us through everything and made sound suggestions when we were unsure. When I asked her why did she answer the phone on a Sunday evening, she said when you call a funeral home you need help. So they always answer. Max Slayton is a one stop shop if you are looking for that. I turned everything over to them and they far exceeded our expectations. Due to logistics we decided to have everything at the funeral home. But the thing I liked about them was the honesty as Veronica explained what it would take to have a funeral in Dallas and then come back to Terrell for the burial. That was an extremely hard decision for us but she allowed us to discuss it and weigh all of our options. Professional. Professional. Professional. The whole team was excellent in handling the intricate parts of planning a funeral. I'm going to be honest, I just couldn't function and was not on my game. They comforted me multiple times and was just there. They did not try and to take advantage of us. These are just honest and hard working folks. No surprise charges. The final invoice that Veronica reviewed in detail was the final invoice. They didn't nickel and dime us which I appreciated. The staff is amazing. I was gathering photos for the slide show and they gave me a jump drive. I had some other pictures and they just scanned them for me. They created a wonderful slide show and I still go to the website to view it. I told the sound team the type of Christian music I would like played and they were on point in selecting upbeat songs from the selected artist. I gave Veronica a punch list of items about my father for the obituary. She blew me away with her research and final draft of the obituary. We had the funeral in their chapel. The chapel is very nice and they served our family well. Everyone kept telling me how nice they were and having the funeral at the chapel was an excellent idea. They know what they are doing. I must have called or texted Veronica a hundred times about any and everything, all hours of the day. She was patient and compassionate with every answer. I can't speak enough about Veronica because she was my go to and four months later she's still responding to my text. She didn't cut me off once the funeral was over and my father was buried. She and the Max Slayton team continue to support us through this process. They literally took our hands and are still walking us through this. I would recommend them over and over again. All I can say is Thank you.

I am very blessed to have a son like Wesley, who let God shine through him at work and home, I am very thankful that God led us to Terrell years ago, providing Wesley a job and your Funeral Home with staff that shows so much compassion for families at a time, their whole world has fallen apart. I could not have asked for better care and service upon the passing of my mother. I was able to make some pre-arrangements which took a great deal of pressure off at the actual time. Our service was a little different from others probably and Max went above and beyond to make it all happen the way we desired. All very professional but above all things, kind and caring. I highly recommend Max Slayton when the need arises.

I choose this funeral home out of 4 others I had spoken with because of Veronica's voice. The calmness and her way of speaking to me about my biggest loss I've ever experienced made me feel at ease. Max has a great staff behind him they all go above and beyond they answered all our questions, even if they were repetitive. I felt safe with them taking care of my dad and us as well in these trying times were in. Veronica and Natalie are superstars at Max Slaytons these ladies are kind and caring thank you for all your acommadations and really just being there for me . I would most definitely recommend Max Slayton anyday. Thank you again to Max and his entire staff.

My Dads celebration of life was held here today and they did and amazing job! From the time I had to start planning this last week Max and the beautiful women that work for him have been so sweet, caring, and helpful! I appreciate everything y'all did for my family!
